Our Mission

Documenting the Weird and Wonderful

Curioteammeter is an independent anthropological journal dedicated to framing the world's strangest village customs as high-art installations. We believe that in an increasingly globalized and homogenized world, the bizarre, hyper-local traditions of small communities are invaluable cultural treasures.

"To understand humanity, we must examine what we do when we think no one is watching."

Our approach is curious and anthropological. We document these human quirks with deep respect, recognizing that whether a village is rolling cheese down a hill, diving from wooden towers, or carrying flaming tar barrels, these acts are profound expressions of identity, memory, and survival.

By venturing off the beaten path, we aim to discover and share the fascinating stories kept alive by villages globally. We invite you to explore our archives and submit your own local oddities through our connection portal.
